Synopsis

The determination to be, breathe and play in the place we occupy, knowing that whatever is repeated is always experienced in a different way. The demand for a time and a space in order to imagine and feel. To create connections out of that. We seek that rare moment, that being with the other in complete harmony and total complicity.

A choreographic language which we articulate through a time which comes and goes, unfolding in a sonorous space of short journeys, fractured and in continuous play with silence. We keep on speaking about conflict in any of its forms, searching for a balance without forgetting the ambiguous, the unstable and all that which defines us.

Everything begins with a sigh and likewise everything seems to want to end with another, both equally important, although unlike one another. On the way, a wandering of breaths. Haven’t we felt like that sometimes? Haven’t we forgotten how to be together?

Company

Choreographer and performer. Since 2000, Blanca Arrieta has been enquiring into the particularities of movement and the perception of time in both a stage and interpretative sense. She ventures to search for a methodology that might allow her to create small worlds out of the physical, filling the space of tensions and questioning our limits, pursuing detail and subtleties. Blanca’s works are the result of a detailed investigation in which she plays with the balance between movement and gesture, going into depth in an always personal language which is born out of her very own body.

In the last few years she has premiered: "Sujetos" (Subjects, 2015),”Argh!” (2014), the “Frágil“ (Fragile, 2008-10) project promoted by the ‘Teatro La Fundición’ (Bilbao) together with ‘L'Agora de la Danse’ (Montreal) and co-produced by ‘Montréal Danse’ (Canada), “Chalada” (Crazy, 2009), “En la ciudad de los ángeles” (In the city of angels, 2008), “Rest” (2007) co-produced by the ‘Teatre Mercat de Les Flors’ (Barcelona), “Muda” (Moulting 2007), “Memoria” (Memory, 2005), “Efecto mariposa” (Butterfly effect, 2005), “3.600” (2004), “Zero” (2002) and “Vértigo” (2000).
