Photography SomostudosisDeconstructing oneself is mainstream, as well as interminable. Atic dives into the depth of her wound to embrace it and reconstruct herself with a mermaid’s tail. Starting by understanding her repression of rage and her fear of lack of control and violence, it has led her to annul parts of herself, judging them as inadequate. She has felt the danger of simplifying her behaviours to solely male expression, denying herself any social automatism. Fed up with the idea that sparing the rod spoils the child, she is facing up to her past demons, those that did not allow her to exist as she would have liked. She now seeks to channel her fury in order to defend who she is, she wants to defend herself on the basis of her glittering light, reconcile with the past and allow herself to arrive at the point where the awareness of her process has pushed her. She reconciles with all these men who hurt her, explores their experiences and finds common ground on which to understand.
