Photography Marian Gerrikabeitia365 is an emotional journey through the four seasons of my first year in the Basque Country. It came out of my need to express on stage what, for me, implied experiencing seasonal changes for the first time.
The work is built on the influence of light on the performers’ bodies. For this, the emotions generated by a series of colours assigned to each season of the year were explored. Therefore, 365 is about three performers who represent my emotions by playing with the quality of the light.

Photography Marian GerrikabeitiaThe company emerged in 2009 out of Denis Martinez Roque’s own choreographic inquisitiveness. As a choreographer, he has created works for the repertoire of the Endedans Contemporary Ballet company in the province of Camagüey, Cuba.
The following repertoire was active until 2015: “Donde El Sol No Brilla” (2009), “Distante A Tu Lado” (2009), “La Duda” (2010), “Un Papel, Un Lunar…” (2010), “Tú” (2011), “Hombres Alas” (2012), “Mi Respuesta Es” (2012).
Within the Contemporary Dance company of Cuba, he carried out creations and research in small formats such as: “Stop”, “Simplemente Fachada”, “Lejos No”, as well as the musicals “Fresa y Chocolate” and “Muerte en el Bosque”, produced by the Meffisto-Teatro musical theatre company, and dance body of the Contemporary Dance company of Cuba. All these productions were created with the support of the Performing Arts and the Ministry of Culture in Cuba.
In 2012 and 2013, he received mentions and recognition in choreographic festivals like the “Impulso” festival in Havana with the pieces “Lejos No” and “Mi Respuesta Es”, as well as the Caracol Grand Prize from Cuban television in 2013 alongside the independent producer Ana Margarita Moreno, for the advertisement “Siéntelo en tu Piel”.
Since 2014, the moment in which he changed his residence for the Basque Country, he has begun a new stage with works such as: “365”, carried out with the support of the Basque Government within the 2021 Dantzan Bilaka programme, Grant Artistas en Residencia de BilbaoEszena 2022, the musical “Juntas Somos Broadway”, which premiered on 5 and 6 October, 2021 in the Muxikebarri Zentroa theatre, and the musical show “Allegro Ma Non Troppo” as part of the 2021 Bilbao Aurrera plan.
