Synopsis

The piece plunges into the state of restlessness that humans experience when feeling exposed and vulnerable.

...you know that restless feeling you undergo when exposed… When you dream that you are in underwear in the middle of the street, underestimating those strange bodily sensations and pretending it is a little cramp in your stomach? Your aim is to have your usual day, but the breath is shallow, the eyes fixed, the neck cramped as you find yourself immersed in that uncomfortable setting.

How do you manage the situation as you become aware of your bodily sensations? Would you attempt to make peace with it, would you project the awkward feeling, fight the phenomenon, escape it, freeze...?

Judit and Maria’s underlying theme in each piece is “humanization of dance”, where emotion is inherent in movement while they explore new ways of bringing dance closer to people. They research methods of enhancing audience’s senses during the show and explore the use of recognizable language for the spectators, connecting performers and audience; observers and observed without distinction.
